Ron Hanger is a born and raised Duluth Realtor. His main goal is to get you where you want to go in a timely fashion, with the least amount of inconvenience. For Ron, it's a family business. The Freeman Hanger team is made up of Ron and his licensed assistant, Brandon Lee, his brother - Doug Freeman, Doug’s son - Wade, and Doug's wife's cousin - Carol Bloomquist. Ron and Doug's great-grandfather and his brother had a Real Estate company in the early 1900s. Ron’s career started out in in retail management, where he managed the Sun's of Britches clothing store in Duluth. Ron then decided to go into real estate at 19 and graduated from The American Real Estate School in 1977. In 1982, he became a single parent and started All-Star Photos, specializing in team sports photos, weddings, graduations and class reunions. His company grew to 2 One Hour Photo Labs, a Studio, and a Video Store. He made the switch back to real estate in 2004 joining his brother, sister-in-law Linda, and nephew Wade. He has been assisting future homeowners, first time home buyers, all types of sellers, investment buyers and sellers, and foreclosures. In 2011, after 2.5 years of classes, Ron obtained the CRS designation. The CRS designation is the most difficult residential designation to obtain. You must have a high volume of business, plus many hours of education which you have to travel to get. Only 4% of Realtors have this designation in the US, but they close 38% of the transactions country wide. Ron’s hobbies include golf, photography, kayaking, attending live concerts, and sitting around a fire with friends. Up till he got vertigo in 2013 he enjoyed downhill skiing and riding motorcycles. Ron enjoys getting away to Arizona and spending time with his son, Ian, and his son Caleb and his family which includes three daughters and a son. Ron also has a daughter in Duluth that just had a baby boy in the fall of 2022.
